LASER CUTTING AND PUNCHING

The department guarantees a working range of up to 3000 x 1500 mm for sheets from 0.4 mm to 25 mm in automatic mode and of 4500 x 1500 mm for sheets from 0.4 mm to 8 mm in manual mode.

The Amada line, consisting of a ENSIS 3015 AJ 6 kW fibre laser, a TK-EU workpiece separation robot and a CS II 300 80-pallet automatic magazine, can cut all types of materials, from pickled, aluminised or galvanised iron, aluminium and stainless steel to reflective materials such as copper, titanium and brass.

The Amada EML 3610 NT combined electric punching machine with 4 kW CO2 source allows carrying out deformations, threads or large series of holes, combining the flexibility of a laser for cutting complex geometries.

An Amada LC 2415 ALFA IV NTCO2 2.5 kW laser with 8-pallet loading and unloading tower completes the department.

The high degree of automation allows the department to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, even when unmanned.

Programming is done using Amada’s VPSS3i software suite. The VPSS 3i Blank cutting CAM is interconnected to the ERP via AOM, Amada Order Manager, which allows any production order to be nested instantly thanks to the interconnection and continuous data exchange, without any manual data entry.

BENDING

The bending department consists of 1 fully-automated robotic cell (gripper change, machine set-up, tool cleaning) and 11 manual bending machines, including 1 with automatic die change, which allow a working range of up to 4m and 220 tonnes.

The large number of dies acquired over the years, together with the availability of various options for controlling the bending angle, guarantee the production of very complex sheet metal items and allow high quality bending of all types of materials, including protected AISI and aluminium.

CAD/CAM software is used to virtualise the bending processes, highlighting critical issues in advance and reducing programming time on the machine. Automation, which enables unmanned production for larger batches or reduces machine set-up times for small, non-recurring batches, also plays an important role in this department.

WELDING

Siver has several MIG/MAG and TIG tack and welding stations for both stainless steel and aluminium.

Typical production is extremely varied and ranges from the welding of complex assemblies, such as kneading machines, road barriers or electrical cabinets, to simpler parts that require an excellent aesthetic finish, such as industrial oven doors with a Scotch Brite finish or parts in aluminium.

ASSEMBLY

The assembly department makes it possible to complete the offer and provide our customers with a finished and correctly assembled product.

Assembly takes place in-line or in-bay, depending on the type of product required, ranging from items such as cabinets or district heating kits, to doors, insulated industrial oven bases and tops. In this case, Siver acts as ‘main contractor’, procuring all the components needed to produce finished functional units (gaskets, locks, windows, handles, insulation, etc.).

High quality and reliability in the assembly of kits ready for sale to the end user has enabled Siver to become a supplier to major multinational companies on a free-pass basis.
